Make the Future Singapore is the Asian instalment of a global festival of ideas and innovation that Shell also hosts in America and Europe.

The festival returns to Singapore for a second year in March 2018, where visitors will explore the future of energy and mobility through open dialogue and thought-provoking experiential zones. A key feature of Make the Future Singapore is Shell Eco-marathon Asia, a long-running student competition to build the world’s most energy-efficient cars.

The event is open to the public and entry is free upon registration.

Shell Eco-marathon is a unique competition that challenges student teams around the world to create the ultimate energy-efficient vehicle. With three main events in Asia, Americas and Europe, the competition attracts thousands of young engineers and students aiming to go the farthest on the least amount of fuel.

Drivers' World Championship Asia

The Shell Eco-marathon Drivers’ World Championship brings together the world’s best UrbanConcept teams competing in an exciting race to be the world’s fastest energy-efficient driver.

In 2016, Bumi Siliwangi Team 4 from Indonesia did Asia proud by clinching the top title.

A 20-week corporate accelerator programme in partnership with NUS Enterprise and ImpacTech, #IdeaRefinery aims to help build a vibrant startup ecosystem in new energy solutions, in support of Singapore’s ambition to be a sustainable and smart nation.

The programme will culminate in a Demo Day at Make the Future Singapore, where startups will present their ideas to an audience comprising business leaders, government officials, academia, Shell business partners and venture capitalists.
