The following terms and conditions apply to all visitors to Make the Future Singapore 2017 event (the “Event”). Visitors to the Event shall comply with these conditions for their own safety and quiet enjoyment and that of others.

  • Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd is the Organiser (the “Organiser”) of the Event and reserves the right to refuse admission, without refund or compensation, to visitors due to health or safety reasons or any reason the Organiser in its sole discretion sees fit.
  • The Organiser and/or the Shell Group may take photographs or recordings of any visitor to the Event for any purpose, without prior approval or compensation, including the use of CCTV. A selection of photos and videos may be used for further communication purposes by the Shell Group internally or externally, including, but not limited to, use on websites and other social media sites.
  • Visitors agree to and consent to Shell’s privacy policy at http://www.shell.com.sg/privacy.html
  • Opening hours may be amended by the Organiser at any time.
  • Children below 13 years old must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • For security reasons, bags and belongings may be searched before entry.
  • The Organiser is not liable or responsible for any loss/damage of the property/belongings of any visitor to the Event, whether such damage/loss is caused by our negligence or otherwise.
  • The Organiser will not be held responsible for any loss and/or injury sustained or any visitor’s transgression of the law.
  • The Event volunteers and staff have the right to work in a safe environment free from violence, abuse or threatening behaviour. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any person acting in an offensive, unacceptable, unsafe, or dangerous manner.
  • Visitors to the Event shall also abide by the following:
    • All safety notices and rules must be strictly followed;
    • No running is allowed in the Event grounds;
    • Not to damage any of the exhibits and/or the booths at the venue;
    • Not to introduce dangerous things: not bring into or place or store at the Event anything which is or may become flammable or dangerous, nor carry on any hazardous operations or other act which might cause the insurance of the Event to be vitiated or the premiums to be increased;
    • Do not engage in or do or suffer to be done in the Event anything that may be or become a nuisance or annoyance or cause damage or injury to the Organiser, the Event staff and/or the venue (including injury to the Organiser’s reputation), the other visitors of the Event;
    • Not smoke anywhere in the Event grounds except the designated smoking areas; and
    • Ensure that all rubbish are disposed in the bins provided in the Event grounds.

In the event of non-adherence to any of the above mentioned items, or for reasons of safety and security in the Organiser’s sole and absolute discretion, the Organiser reserves the right to require any visitor to leave the premises and the Event.

  • Visitors shall indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser and the Shell Group against all claims, demands, actions, judgements, damages, losses, costs and expense of any nature which the Organiser and the Shell Group may suffer or incur for any death, injury, loss or damage caused by any negligent act or omission in the Event or non-compliance with any of these terms and condition by the visitor.
  • The Organiser and the Shell Group shall not be liable (to the extent permitted by law) for any death, injury, loss, damage or inconvenience howsoever caused to or sustained by any visitors to the Event. The Organiser and the Shell Group may at its discretion, provide medical or other form of assistance on a goodwill basis. In no event shall the provision of such assistance amount to or be construed as an admission of liability by the Organiser and the Shell Group of the death, injury, loss, damage or inconvenience sustained.
  • The Organiser and the Shell Group shall not be liable for any delays or cancellation or closure of the Event or any show or feature in or at any part of the Event resulting from acts or occurrences beyond its control including without limitation to acts of God, regulations or any governmental authority, war or national emergency, accident, fire, strikes, disturbance or industrial disputes, or outbreak of diseases.
  • The names, graphics, logos of the Organiser and the Shell Group are trademarks and intellectual property rights owned by the Organiser and/or the Shell Group and no use, copy, distribution, public display or creation of any derivative work thereof is permitted.
  • In the event that any term or condition herein shall for any reason be determined by any court or tribunal to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, then the remaining term or condition or part thereof shall not be affected, impaired or invalidated and shall remain in full force and effect and shall continue to be binding upon the parties hereto.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at its absolute discretion without prior notice.
  • These terms of admission for the Event shall be governed and construed in accordance with laws of the Republic of Singapore and the courts of Singapore will have exclusive jurisdiction in any case of dispute.
